We spend at least 8 hours a day in our
office, and in the process, consuming a large amount of resources.
Project: Eco-Office has been developed to show you how you
can do your bit for the environment from where you spend most
of your day … in the office!
Going GREEN is not just about saving our
planet so that we can always enjoy it, it is also about savings
for your company. One of the first steps of going GREEN is
to do a self-audit.
Not only have these four outstanding Green Office corporate citizens passed the online self-audits and on-site audits with excellent results, their achievements prove what management and staff conviction and commitment can accomplish within a relatively short period of time.

CDL Embarks
on Recycling Programme for 15 Commercial Buildings
What is the Programme about?
A recycling programme initiated by City
Developments Limited (CDL) in 15 CDL commercial
buildings to encourage tenants to practise eco-friendly
habits and cut down on office waste.
This programme is part of an integrated environment
management system comprising the Eco-Home Programme
for CDL Condominiums and Project Eco-Office, a
joint initiative by CDL and Singapore Environment
Council.
The National
Environment Agency (NEA) announced their pleasure
in partnering SEC in Project: Eco-Office. NEA
believes that "Project: Eco-Office would
provide a good platform to create greater awareness
among the management of offices to integrate environmental
concerns into office administration "
and "are particularly encouraged that the
criteria for the rating system of Project: Eco-Office
include energy conservation, waste minimisation
and waste management".

Roadshow 2003
Thank you to everyone who turned
up for the road show and brought down your recyclables.
As promised, the road show turned out to be a fun-filled
event with representatives from Institute of Public
Relations of Singapore, Legal 21, Atmozi! Prudential,
Jones Lang LaSalle, Bizlink, Kenneth Tan Partnership,
Industrie and Publicis taking part in our Corporate
Challenge. For their sportsmanship, they won for
themselves fabulous prizes including Mitsubishi
fridges and Canon office equipment.
Some lucky officer workers who came down with their
recyclables not only received exclusive three-year
eco-calendars cum playing cards, "Save Energy"
reminders and mini recycling boxes, but Body Shop
and Tupperware hampers.
For the Box Assemble game segment, the lucky winners
received Mitsubishi fans and re-usable Tupperware
lunch boxes.
